Body Hammers are drop forged from high carbon steel, heat treated, quenched and have tempered heads. They have a burnt lacquer finish, Grade B (or better), and Hickory wooden handles or cushion grip fiberglass handles. The hammer was one of the basic hand tools around which the body and fender repair trade was developed. The general purpose pick hammer has a medium size point and reach for general work. The low crown strawberry point provides perfect balance. Face, 1 9/16” round point, 3/32” radius. Length of pick end, 3 ¾”.
